How Our Journey Began
As we move into the 21st Century, the Elsinore Woman's Club strives to remain current and viable in our community. From 1906 until today, our existence has always, and will always be, to serve our community and help our fellow woman.
The dream of a clubhouse came true when Isabel J. Norris, referred to in our archived minutes as "Our Fairy Godmother", gave the club a deed to the corner lot at Lowell and Graham Avenues and pledged $1,000.00 a year for five years to help build the clubhouse.
Construction of the building began on June 18th, 1925 and an open house was held on December 5th of the same year.
Our club is revered as one of the historic, architectural gems of our city. We have succeeded in restoring many areas of the building to its original state and purpose. The original chandeliers were found and restored and now hang in our beautiful great room. We have a picturesque memorial courtyard and rose garden featuring a lovely fountain.
Our members donate thousands of hours of community service, focusing on improving the home-life of children and families and providing scholarships for local high school seniors.
We look forward to our time-honored events that will continue to bring together our members and the community in our beautiful clubhouse.
